Day 9. Nha Trang. 7.11.24

Day 5 of the cycling tour,  no cycling.

'A day with boat trip to islands. Experience the coast of Nha Trang aboard a boat as we set out in the morning, for our first stop at the aquarium. We then head out to Hon Mun Island where we have the chance for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. From here we continue to Hon Tam Island where you have the choice of relaxing on the beach or for the energetic – there is a choice of water sports. Our lunch stop is at the fishing village of Lang Chai where we have time to explore before boarding our boat back to Nha Trang harbor. Overnight in Nhatrang.'

The weather has cleared a little but not expecting it to stay that way. So the plan is to stay with the above plan and head to the islands.

8am we headed off in the bus for a short ride to the boat harbour. 

We had our own boat for the nine of us (Wendy is still unwell) and the cycling crew.

Hon Mieu Island 

The boat was parked in an area out of the wind so those who wanted to swim or snorkel could do so.

The water was about 3 meters deeps and the temperature was very nice but their wasn't a lot of visibility or fish to be seen. We did notice a lot of rubbish in the water.

Mark and I both had a short swim/float and Markie 'toed' me back to the boat. I elected to leave my life jacket on. Mr Tom took some photos of me but I'm yet to receive them.

Back on the boat to head off to another island.

A few of us decided to walk home as we had eaten a fairly big seafood feast. The BBQ fish was absolutely delicious.
