Day 16. Cuc Phong National Park. 14.11.24

Day 12 of the cycling tour, 40 kms.

'Ride through karst scenery of Ninh Binh to Cuc Phuong National Park. Cuc Phuong National Park is one of Vietnam’s most beautiful and important protected areas; The ancient forest contains almost 2000 species of trees and amongst them lives some amazing and rare animals including the Clouded leopard, Delacour’s Langur, Owston’s Civet, Otters and Asian Black Bear! Check in the Cuc Phuong National Park guest house. It is simple and comfort.'

We arrived at the Nihn Binh train station about 3.40am and was in our room by 4. Breakfast at 6.30 and checked out and ready to ride at 9am.

View from the breakfast room.
A few pics of the beautiful scenery along the way.

Coffee stop with a view.

Our room for the night. We have the right half and Greg and Wendy have the left.

After lunch we went for a wander around the gardens.  The whole resort has the potential to be amazing but is in need of maintenance.

Multiple spas with very little water and dirty.
The pools appear to not have a filter. It was a bit scungy on top and I couldn't bring myself to get in.
Mineral pool.

We had a goat hot pot for dinner. It was a cook it yourself meal which was new for a few of us.

Today has been very warm. The ride was itself was very pleasant. Nice weather, decent surfaces, lovely scenery, less traffic and good companions.

So far I have ridden 351 kms and walked 65 kms.
