Day 15. Overnight train, Nihm Binh. 13.11.24
Day 11 of the cycling tour, 25kms.
Washing machine delivery.
We took a ride on a dragon boat.
Farewelled Mr Visa, our sweep and organiser.
Also farewelled our bus driver after we were droppedat the train station. Each were given a $$ tip.
'Explore Hue and visit the citadel. Take a boat ride along the Perfume River and visit
tombs of the Nguyen emperors. Transfer to the train station. Take the overnight on the
Reunification Express Train to Ninh Binh. Dinner box on train.'
We had a lovely breakfast before heading off on the bikes to explore Hue. It's not forecast to rain but we can see it in the distance.
A 20km loop around Hué seeing incense sticks being made, "regular people's" cemeteries and a royal cemetery.
After that very challenging ride, which was beyond my skill set, we headed back to the hotel to shower and checkout.
We farewelled our bike mechanic/jack of all trades as we will have new bikes, bus and support truck tomorrow after our train ride.
After showering and checking out we walked across the road for lunch.
Back on the bus.
Washing machine delivery.
Having loading issues so quitting for awhile 🤦♀️🤷♀️
Next we headed to the Citadel in the Imperial City. We had a 30 min speed tour as that was all that time would permit.
Farewelled Mr Visa, our sweep and organiser.
Also farewelled our bus driver after we were droppedat the train station. Each were given a $$ tip.
4 people per room plus luggage, little bit squishy but we managed quite well. We bunked in with Greg and Wendy and had a few others pop in for a visit. Dinner was a hot box with chicken, rice and a few other bits. Quite adequate to keep the tummy full until breakfast.
We all managed to get a couple of hours sleep at various stages.
Such an adventure for you all. Love the dragon boat :))))
