Day 1. Brisbane. 30.10.24

Today we departed for an overnight stay in Brisbane around 8.30am. The first hour of the drive was interesting.  We had a little red Suzuki go flying past us and others over double lines with no roego plates who didn't want to wait for the roadworks at Aldershot so did a u turn and flew back past us. We had quite a  wait at roadworks just past Maryborough.  We also drove on the new Gympie bypass. 

Stopped for lunch and coffee at wild horse mountain. 

We're staying at the Airway Motel.

Greg and Wendy gave us a wonderful tour of Brisbane.  We caught a ferry across the river and wandered around and eventually ended up at South Bank.

We had dinner at South Beach, left in the photo, before heading back to the ferry for our ride home.
